FAQ
Common questions
Which databases do you cover?
Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL and MongoDB, including managed cloud versions.
Do you access production data?
We test configuration and access controls. Where data access is unavoidable, we agree handling rules in advance and never retain it.
Can you test databases in the cloud?
Yes. We test managed services such as Amazon RDS, Azure SQL and Cloud SQL, alongside self-hosted databases.
Will testing affect database performance?
We schedule tests to avoid peak hours and use non-disruptive techniques. Any heavier checks are agreed in advance.
Does this help with PCI DSS?
Yes. Database access control, encryption and logging are central PCI DSS requirements, and our report provides supporting evidence.
